About Future Sturgis

Future Sturgis was formed in july of 2008, It is a cross section of the community, Future Sturgis' is made up of five committees:

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
COMMUNITY PRIDE
TOURISM
RETAIL DEVELOPMENT
BRIDGING THE ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL GAP

Future Sturgis' VISION is To inhance the social and economic community of the greater Sturgis Area.

Future Sturgis' MISSION is Creating a Value Added Community by providing the citizens a voice in revitalization of the Greater Sturgis Area. Their input will develop a road map for use by the city and county government, area businesses, organizations & volunteers to optimistically expand the area's economic base through retail and industrial growth, job development, beautification, recreation, renovation and new construction while improving the area's quality of life, enriched by the development of cultural diversity.

Future Sturgis GOALS:

Must be inclusive of all of the greater Sturgis Area.
To improve the quality of life and cultural diversity of the Greater Sturgis Area.
To provide a unified , long term vision with a master plan in collaboration with local government, community organizations, and citizenry.
To bridge the economic and social gaps.
Expand the area's economic base through retail, industrial growth and workforce development.
Create community development to enhance the beautification, recreation, renovation and new construction of the Greater Sturgis Community.
